S+C+A+R+R

Setting a new project up for long term success

S+C+A+R+R is an EDM/Pop artist that isn’t an artist - per se. The brain-child and work of producer Dan Levy, S+C+A+R+R exists in the real world only  as a quirky and eccentric animated character.

French record label, Wagram, signed S+C+A+R+R in 2019 and generated moderate success with four previous single releases. With a new song and video in hand, Wagram brought on Venture to take development of the brand to the next level - by creating a digital marketing strategy focusing specifically on both Spotify & YouTube growth. Wagram wanted to create awareness around the new release, “Rest of My Days” - and at the same time - they wanted our help with developing a meaningful connection with new fans.

Our marketing plan combined paid advertising strategies, influencer marketing, and organic posting strategies on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.  We implemented a $1,500/month advertising budget over a 3-month cycle specifically to drive Spotify streams and YouTube views.

YouTube Views

After 3 months, S+C+A+R+R’s YouTube channel views had grown from an average of just under 2,000 views per day to an average of over 25,000 views per day. As of today, the single “Rest of My Days” now has over 2,300,000 views, over 39,000 likes, and 2,600 comments on YouTube.

Spotify Streams

Rather than just focusing on the number of streams - Venture’s goal is always to find real, organic listeners on Spotify. By using growth strategies that are algorithmically healthy (read our blog on building healthy streaming practices here), “Rest of My Days” has generated over 1.3 million streams in 3 months. The song was added to over 17,000 user-generated playlists on Spotify, without the help of a third party playlisting push.
